Northamptonshire fast bowler Jack Brooks has a chance to stake his claim for full England cricket honours next month - on home soil. The right-arm seamer is named in the England Lions squad of 12 to face West Indies at the County Ground in Northampton. The 4-day friendly starts on Thursday May 10.Brooks was a late arrival to the county game. He was 25 when he made his first class debut for Northants against the Australians in 2009. A back injury curtailed Brooks' season in 2011, but his performances earlier in the campaign earned him a call up to the England's performance squad, which included a fast bowling training camp in South Africa. He also featured in the England Lions tour to Bangladesh in January. Northants Chief Executive David Smith said, 'It reflects the hard work he has put in over the last twelve months at the club over the winter, and the experience he gained while on tour with the England Lions'.Brooks had taken twelve County Championship wickets ahead of Northants' game against Essex.
