Former Luton MP 'unfit to plead' over expenses
The former Luton South Labour MP Margaret Moran is unfit to enter a plea on charges she fiddled her parliamentary expenses.
A judge at Lewes Crown Court near Brighton ruled on the 27th April 2011 that the case against Mrs Moran would be adjourned for a jury to decide whether she did commit the acts alleged by the prosecution.
She is charged with more than 20 offences relating to her expenses. It is claimed that she flipped her designated second home, making claims for properties in Luton, London and Southampton.
