Labour overall majority: 3

Labour have ousted the Tories from power in Great Yarmouth town hall overturning a majority of 5 with one of their own of 3.

The Conservatives re-gained power in 2000 after Labour ran the council through the 1990s.

Labour lost the parliamentary seat to the Conservatives in 2010.

New council: Lab 21 (+5), Con 18 (-4), Ind 0 (-1)
