A Royal family loving pensioner from Newmarket says he's disgusted that he's been asked to take down union flags from his council house. Dereck Birch has hung 13 flags to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee next month, but neighbours have complained the display is excessive.
Flagship Housing, the company that manages his council house, has written to Mr Birch asking him to take the flags down, because they could be causing damage to the property.
Mr Birch may be forced to pay the cost of removing the flags. But he says it's a price worth paying for Queen and country.
