Despite a brave fight Luton Town have lost 2-1 to York City at Wembley, dashing Hatters fans' Football League hopes.
Andre Gray made it 1-0 for Luton in the 71st second of the Blue Square Premier promotion play-off final, but York got one back 26 minutes in.
In the second half it was York's turn to pile on the pressure, netting their second goal less than two minutes after the whistle.
Luton fought hard for an equaliser, going down to ten men at one point after two players went off with blood injuries.
The club were relegated from League Two in May 2009, having been docked 30 points at the start of the season for financial irregularities.
In their first season in the Football Conference, Luton reached the play-offs, losing the semi-final to York City over two legs.
Last season they made it all the way to the play-off final, only to lose 4-3 on penalties to AFC Wimbledon.
