Stansted Airport: strike but business as usual
It has been business as usual for passengers flying out of Stansted Airport in Essex, despite industrial action by baggage handlers.
Members of the Unite and GMB unions stopped work this morning in a dispute over working practices.
Their employer, Swissport handles flights for Ryanair, Thomas Cook, Thomson, AtlasJet and BelleAir.
Senior managers said contingency plans have been put in place to allow all hold baggage to be checked-in.
