Scientists and support staff from the Cambridge based British Antarctic Survey have been joining in the Jubilee celebrations from the South Pole.

The team of 14 enjoyed a spot of afternoon tea, complete with a union flag battenburg cake .

After the cake they then headed out into the darkness and 35 knot winds for a spot of croquet and cricket. A truly British afternoon.
