Heavy rain hits region's roads

Heavy rain continued to batter parts of the region overnight, bringing the risk of further flooding.

Yesterday the road between Bedford and Milton Keynes had to be closed after water blocked both carriageways, and elsewhere, some drivers had to be rescued from their cars.
