The Duke of Edinburgh had been expected to attend a garden party at the Royal Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
However, the palace has said a decision over whether Prince Philip will be able to attend has not yet been made.
If he does it will be his first official engagement since spending five days in hospital with a bladder infection.
Prince Philip, who’s 91, is hoped to be at the Queen’s side for tomorrow’s garden party to mark her Diamond Jubilee.
It is also hoped he will be able to accompany her to the East Midlands on Wednesday for a two-day visit as part of the Queen's Jubilee tour of the UK.
On Wednesday the Jubilee tour moves on to Burghley House, and then onto Corby. And on Thursday the Queen and Prince Philip are due to visit Hitchin, the Lister Hospital in Stevenage, and Hatfield House.
