New season's fixtures

In the Premier League, Norwich City begin on August 18th with a trip to Fulham's Craven Cottage, the ground where they were relegated from the top flight on the last game of the 2004 season.

New boss Chris Hughton will take on his old club Newcastle on September 22nd, while the much anticipated visit to Aston Villa - now managed by former Canaries boss Paul Lambert - is a month later on October 27th.

Football League fixtures also begin on August 18th. In the Championship, Ipswich begin their season at home to Blackburn, relegated from the Premier League last season. Peterborough start with a trip up the A47 to Leicester. The two clubs meet at Portman Road on November 24th.

In League One, MK Dons and Stevenage both have home games on the first weekend of the season - the Dons against Oldham, Boro against Carlisle. Stevenage travel to stadium:mk on October 20th. Colchester's season starts with a long trip north to Preston.

In League Two, Northampton Town begin with a trip to Rochdale, while Southend kick off at home to Accrington Stanley.
