Tonight football fans across the region will be holding their breath as England take on Italy in the quarter-final of Euro 2012.
But in many parts of our region, England won't be the team the crowds are necessarily behind. Cambridge, Peterborough and Bedford all have many residents of Italian descent.
According to the Italian Society of Bedford, the town has the highest concentration of Italian immigrants in the country.
Bedfordshire Police say they've been planning tonight's operation since February but expect little trouble.
They say they've had plenty of experience policing big Italian games, but this is the first time the country has played England since 1990.
Superintendent Jim Saunders from Bedfordshire Police is in charge of planning the operation. He told Anglia News the force is very well prepared.
