Pregnant woman attacked while walking to hospital appointment
A heavily pregnant woman has been speaking to ITV Anglia after being assaulted in Dog KennelWalk in Dunstable on Tuesday morning.
It happened between 9.30am and 9.50amas the victim Terri Turner, who is nine months pregnant, was walking to thehospital for an appointment.
The 19-year-old was approached from behind and hit in the face. She bravely tried to fight back but the assault continued until a member of the public intervened.
It is believed her baby is unharmed.
The offender is described as a white man, 5’5”tall, skinny build with short brown hair. He was wearing blue jeans and alight coloured top, possibly grey or khaki.
– Detective Sergeant Seb Greschner“The victim has received some serious facial injuries as a result of this attack and is in considerable shock.
"This was a daylight attack and I am appealing for any witnesses who may have been present in the area at the time.
"I am also appealing for any witnesses who may have seen a lone man loitering in the area. However small the information is, I am keen to hear from you”.
