Brian Conley has given an extended interview to Anglia Tonight about his star turn in the hit musical Oliver!
The popular comedian takes on the role of Fagin in the production which features a cast and crew of 108, including 20 local children. He took his spot on the sofa to talk about the show and why he loves being in Norwich.
The Lionel Bart penned-piece is being staged in the City's Theatre Royal for the next five weeks, and it could be good news for Norwich businesses too. It is estimated that the touring West End production could swell the coffers of Norwich businesses to the tune of £4m.
Local tourism chiefs reckon that the musical could be worth millions to the local economy.
Melanie Cook of Visit Norwich said: "We are aware that the attendance at the Norwich Theatre Royal boosts the number of people having dinner and drinks before a performance.
"In fact for a show of this scale, people are willing to travel further which means they have to stay overnight or use public transport."
