The Olympic Torch on its way from Cambridge to Luton

Day 51 of the Olympic Torch Relay will see it start in Cambridge early in the morning before finishing the day in Luton.

Along the way it will pass through St Ives and Huntingdon before it reaches Bedford and then Cotton End before going on to Stevenage.

From there the relay heads to Welwyn Garden City, Hatfield, Hemel Hempstead and St Albans before arriving in Luton. The evening celebration will be in Pope's Meadow, Luton

The day will start just after 6.30am when the sprint around the Quad at Trinity College featured in the film Chariots of Fire is re-created with the Olympic Flame. After that a more sedate form of transport with a punt along the River Cam.

  • 6.12pm Luton

More showers are expected on Day 51 of the Torch Relay.
