Norwich City look set to make their third new signing of the summer with news that Sunderland defender Michael Turner underwent a medical.
The 28-year-old headed for East Anglia after the two clubs agreed terms on a deal. Turner, who arrived at the Stadium of Light from Hull during the summer of 2009, appears to be surplus to requirements.
Turner moved to Wearside from Hull in a £4m deal in 2009. At one point the tough-tackling centre back was in line for an England call-up.
He made 32 appearances during his first season with the club, but injuries and the arrival of the likes of Brown and former Manchester United team-mate John O'Shea have limited his involvement since.
