Rare Chinese bowls found in Essex barn
A pair of porcelain fish bowls found covered in dust in an old barn in Essex are expected to reach more than 10-thousand pounds when they go up for auction tomorrow.
They're believed to have been made in the 19th or 20th century for the last empress of China to keep her goldfish in.
The bowls were found by an antiques expert doing a routine valuation at a house near Colchester. They'll be auctioned at Reeman Dansie's auction house in Colchester on Tuesday.
