East Anglia sizzles on the hottest day of the year (so far)

It's the hottest day of the year so far... and Cavendish in Suffolk has overtaken Cambridge as warmest place in the country.

Official figures from the MET office show it reached 32.3C (90F) in Cavendish.

Earlier in the day the highest temperature was 31.7C (89F) in Cambridge.

It's the hottest August day for seven years.

And don't put the sun cream away just yet. The MET office says it could be even warmer tomorrow.
