The Great Yarmouth Coastguard has warned people not to take inflatable dinghies with them to the beach today.
The winds are forecast to be blowing from the shore and out to sea on the north Norfolk coast.
A spokesman for the coastguard said: "These conditions will present extreme danger to users of inflatable toy dinghies on the sea.
"These and any occupants will be blown out to sea into deep, cold, choppy water where they are likely to overturn."
If you see anyone in trouble on the coast dial 999.
