Plans to celebrate the success of Olympians and Paralympians from Milton Keynes have been described as an 'embarrassment' and a 'farce'.
The council has arranged a homecoming event at the end of the month, but it's been revealed that some of the town's athletes haven't even been invited and Gold medalist Greg Rutherford, can't attend.
Worse still many of the towns Olympians and Paralympians have either not yet received their invite or are unable to make it.
Table tennis star Andrew Baggaley did receive an invite to take part in the parade but he can't attend because he is competing abroad.
The confusion about the celebration doesn't stop at the guests.
Despite publicity, events planned for Campbell Park have now been moved to Stadium MK.
Milton Keynes Council says it is expecting a large number of Gamesmakers at the parade and others involved the games.
