Dunne looking: U's end brief search for new boss

Joe Dunne said it had been an honour to be named the new manager of Colchester United.

Dunne wasted no time in starting to implement his own ideas, unveiling a new member of the coaching team and some playing reinforcements.

In comes former U's midfielder Mark Kinsella as Assistant Manager, MK Dons forward Jabo Ibhere and Arsenal pair Craig Eastmond and Sanchez Watt join on three month loan deals.

Dunne, who has been with the Essex club for 16 years, said he planned to focus on the whole club, from the first team all the way through to the under 9's.

I'm excited about it, I may not look it, but I am. I'm determined and I just want to get on with the job. I just want to get on the training pitch with the players, because that's all that matters really.
