Schools across the country have been raising money for children living with genetic diseases by encouraging pupils to go to school dressed in jeans. The annual ‘Jeans for Genes’ day helps support children and babies who are affected by genetic disorders such as cystic fibrosis. Although rare these diseases are the biggest cause of death for children under 5 and affect 1 in 25 children in the UK.
