Thames Valley Police have released an E-fit image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a GBH in Milton Keynes last month.
At 10.45pm on Thursday 6 September, a 26-year-old man was jogging on the Redway near the Play area / Skate board Park, adjacent to the H4 Dansteed Way between the top of Mayditch Place and Coleshill Place, in Bradwell Common, Milton Keynes.
He jogged passed a man, who attempted to trip him up. The victim carried on running, and the man chased him and slashed him with a knife.
The victim sustained cuts and grazes from the knife which required treatment and Milton Keynes General Hospital.
The offender is white, between 28 to 31-years-old, about 5ft 11ins, medium build, and Eastern European in appearance. He was wearing an orange lumberjack style checked shirt with a square diamond earring in one of his ears.
Det Con David Brandon, investigating the incident, said:
“This was a completely unprovoked attack on the victim, who was fortunately not seriously injured but was left shocked and upset.
“We have released an E-fit of the man we would like to speak to in connection with the incident and urge anyone who recognises the image and description or was in the area on the evening to contact us.
“I would also like to reassure residents that incidents like this are unusual and we have had no further reports of similar assaults since this incident.”
