Accidental death for woman killed by runaway horse

A jury in Bury St Edmunds has returned a verdict of accidental death on a grandmother killed by a runaway horse.

Carole bullet was knocked down by a horse that had got loose at Nowton Country Park in June 2011.

The inquest heard there had been inadequate risk assessments carried out on the horse and carriage before the day.

Coroner Peter dean said he would write to the Department for Transport to ask them to look at a potential loophole in legislating these sort of activities.
