In a week's time it's the Police and Crime Commissioner elections. Each police force will get one to set crime-fighting priorities and decide the budget.
But there are fears voter turnout will be low. We're looking at some of the contests in the Anglia region and here we focus on Norfolk.
The county employs nearly three thousand staff including 1,500 police officers.
The crime rate is the lowest in the region with 47 crimes per 1,000 population
However the force is one of the more expensive to run - costing 186 pounds per person in Norfolk.
