The Northampton Town manager Aidy Boothroyd has praised Adebayo Akinfenwa for his performance against Accrington Stanley at the weekend.

The 30-year-old got the first hat-trick of his career on Saturday, securing a 4-2 win for the Cobblers. At a press conference this morning (Monday 11 November) Boothroyd said Adebayo was buzzing after getting three "terrific... real goal scorers goals".

The Cobblers re-play Bradford tomorrow night (12 November), and Boothroyd expects it to be a hard game against an organised team who he says are "very strong at the front". The Cobblers came from behind to draw against Bradford in the first round of the FA Cup last weekend.

Boothroyd said some changes would be required tomorrow night, with Jake Robinson and Lee Nicholls unavailable to play and John Johnson due for a scan today. Ben Harding will also be rested.
