A man has appeared before magistrates in connection with the murder of a teenager in Hertfordshire.

41-year-old Joseph Potter of Sycamore Avenue, Bletchley in Buckinghamshire, is accused of perverting the course of justice. He did not enter a plea at Hatfield Magistrates' Court, and was remanded in custody to appear at Cambridge Crown Court on the 19th of November.

19-year-old Amelia Arnold from Stevenage went missing last week. Her 22-year-old boyfriend Jack Walls, who lived with Amelia in Hadrian's Walk in Stevenage, is in police custody after being arrested on suspicion of her murder. He handed himself in to police yesterday morning.

A body, believed to be Amelia, was discovered in a shallow grave in woodland off Travellers Lane in Hatfield on Sunday evening (11 November).
