Big drop in UK sales for Lotus

It's been a tough time for anyone in the manufacturing industry but for one of our region's most famous names, 2012 was especially difficult.

Figures released today show that UK registrations of new cars by the Norfolk car maker Lotus dropped 60 percent on the previous year - to just 137. Lotus say the majority of their new cars continue to be exported abroad.

With 750 jobs in Norfolk at stake, the local MP says the government continues to monitor Lotus's progress with concern.
