Greater Anglia is pushing for major upgrades to some of its busiest lines. The operator is asking its stakeholders to write to the Government and National Rail to demand improvements on the Norwich to London line and the route between Cambridge, Stansted and London.
The company is trying to influence the final investment plans and upgrades in Network Rail's Strategic Business Plan for 2014 to 2019.
The Office of Rail Regulation is currently consulting on Network Rail's plans - with submissions due in by 19 February - before the plans are finalised and approved by the ORR in the autumn.
Greater Anglia - which runs 1,900 train services per day - has said the upgrades could lead to quicker journey times and better reliability.
