Three sixth-formers from Norwich are living life in the fast lane after becoming the F1 in Schools UK champions.

It meant building and designing their own mini racing car which saw off all other competition by managing 20 metres in just over a second.

Will Mulhall, Ryan Clabon and Tom Carver from Sprowston Community High School in Norwich are behind the Red Set Racing Team.

After winning the national final in London in March, they'll now represent Britain in the world finals in November in Austin, Texas.

The competition will coincide with the US Grand Prix which they will go to as part of their prize.

The students admit they got help for their design from Formula One team, Caterham F1 which used to be based at Hingham in Norfolk.
