An ale lovers dream

Scientists in Norwich have managed to revive a Victorian beer not sampled for more than a hundred years.

They've managed to grow the classic Chevallier variety from ancient seeds stored at the John Innes Centre's genetic resources unit.

Now ale lovers will be able to sample its delights. It will go on sale next Friday at the Duke of Wellington Pub, with the launch timed to coincide with the AGM of the Campaign for Real Ale.
