Police have released CCTV images of a mother found dead in Lowestoft shortly before the bodies of her three children were discovered at their home.
A post mortem has revealed that Fiona Anderson died from head injuries after falling from a multi-storey car park.
No details of how the children died are known at the moment.
Police have also revealed they went to her home as part of an investigation into an alleged stabbing in another part of the town. She refused to let officers in and it was later established that the stabbing had actually happened there and not elsewhere.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission will now investigate the case.
Detective Superintendent John Brocklebank, of the Norfolk and Suffolk Major Incident Team, said:
– Detective Supt John Brocklebank
“We are conducting a meticulous investigation – and need to ensure that we follow investigative procedures correctly to gain a full understand of this tragic set of events.
“As people will appreciate, we are working with families which have suffered a devastating tragedy – and elements of the investigation, such as formal identification of all those involved, may take some time.”
