Norwich City have confirmed that on-loan striker Kei Kamara has left the club and returned to his parent club Sporting Kansas City in the USA.

The 28-year-old joined the Canaries during the January transfer window and played 11 times, scoring once in the 2-1 win against Everton.

Kamara posted on Twitter:”

“I want to thank the Norwich City organisation for everything they did for me. Not everyone gets to live their dreams, but they gave me mine.

“Also thank you to all the fans in the UK especially in Norwich, Norfolk for welcoming me with warm arms. Top class people/fans.

Confirming Kamara's return Sporting Kansas say there has been huge interest from other clubs in the player but another loan deal is unlikely.

Meanwhile with Norwich City now facing a relegation battle to keep their place in the Premier League the club have cancelled their Player of the Year dinner, which was due to take place tomorrow (Monday) night.
