Jury out in dental nurse case

The jury in the trial of a trainee dental nurse from Bedfordshire -accused of trying to poison her own boss - has retired to consider itsverdict.

34-year-old Ravinder Kaur is accused of lacing a coffee she made with mercury amalgam, a substance used to make fillings in teeth.

The prosecution have said it was an act of spite against her victim, Laura Knowles after Kaur was subject to disciplinary hearings at work.

Miss Kaur has said she is friends with Laura Knowles, has no grudge and has said in court that she thinks she has been framed because she complained to the Care Quality Commission about the Shams MoopenDental Practice in Shefford, Bedfordshire.Ravinder Kaur denies one count of administering a poisonous or noxious substance with intent.
