Every year more than 150,000 people in the UK have a stroke - that's one every 5 minutes. Here in the East about 11,300 are diagnosed with having a stroke every year.
Colchester General Hospital has one of the largest specialist stroke units in our region and has been rated in the top 10% nationally. But is it working? Serena Sandhu spent a day on the unit finding out.
