Woman attacked in Dunstable

Police in Bedfordshire have released CCTV images of a man that they would like to speak to following an assault on a 21 year old woman in Dunstable early on Sunday morning.

It happened between 12.30 and 1am after the victim had been enjoying a night out with friends at the Old Sugar Loaf in High Street North, Dunstable. The woman had been approached inside the venue by a man who had been pestering her until her friends intervened.

As the victim and her friend were leaving the pub and stood in the car park, they were approached by the same man who claimed that the victim had been racist which she refuted. He then made a phone call and shortly afterwards a group of six or seven men arrived with one - an Asian male, in his early 20s, skinny build, five feet six inches tall, wearing dark blue jeans and a light blue jacket – assaulting the victim’s friend and then punching the victim twice in the face causing her to lose consciousness and suffer swelling to her jaw.
