An area of low pressure out in the north sea caused very strong winds in the Anglia region. Gusts of 37 mph at Bedford and 55 mph at Weybourne in Norfolk were recorded this afternoon.
The wind whipped up the sea which caused huge waves over 5 metres high.
The waves battered the coast causing damage to the cliffs here at Hemsby.
The wind also took the edge of the temperature, making it feel more like winter than autumn.
Low pressure out in the north sea caused this storm surge at Mundesley in Norfolk.
