Police have launched a fresh investigation into the cold case murder of Ian Grant in Cambridge - 18 years after his was killed.
The 24-year-old was found dead on wasteland near Fulbourn Hospital in Cherry Hinton just after midnight on November 15, 1995.
He had been shot in the head. He had been last seen at 8pm earlier that evening when he left his nearby flat in Speedwell Close.
It is thought he was killed between 8pm and 10pm on November 14.
His girlfriend's car had also been set alight two weeks prior to his murder. Detectives still believe that incident is linked to the killing.
Now the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Major Crime Unit are renewing their appeal for information after fresh evidence emerged.
Two men were acquitted of conspiracy to murder following a trial at Norwich Crown Court.
