Parents are always trying to teach their little ones good manners; please, thank you and occasionally sorry, and one little girl is a shining example to us all.

5-year-old Faith accidentally broke a Christmas bauble on a shopping trip to John Lewis in Cambridge with her mum.

Even though no one saw, she decided she wanted to reimburse the store and sent an apology letter with two pound coins to cover the cost of the decoration!

She didn't include her address in the letter but the department store launched a Twitter search.

Dominic Joyce, manager of John Lewis's Cambridge branch, says that the store will now send Faith a gift for Christmas to thank her for her sweet gesture.

"We've decided that we're going to send Faith a gift for Christmas to thank her for being so honest and lovely.

"We might even send her a bauble too!"
