FA Cup preview: Boro hope to make tie sticky for the Toffees

It may be a different group of players, but they have the same desire and attitude.

It may be taking a while for Stevenage's current squad to follow Graham Westley's way of thinking. But his second spell with Boro in the league is slowly taking effect, even though they're still bottom of League One.

Amazing to think Boro were very close to a third successive promotion under their last manager Gary Smith the season before last.

It included their historic cup run, reaching round five to play Tottenham. That's one thing Stevenage have never lost, the love of this competition.

Everton have already faced Stevenage at Goodison Park in the League Cup.

Tomorrow they start 62 places apart in the league standings. But Boro were 74 places behind Newcastle when they met three years ago. The rest is history. Boro's class of 2014 will be hoping history repeats itself.
