Graphic images in police raid appeal

Graphic images have been released by police investigating a robbery in Kempston in Bedfordshire last week.

They show the injuries suffered by the 45 year old shop worker, who was left with facial injuries after being assaulted by the burglar.

The attack happened at the One Stop shop in Hillgrounds on January 31st, when a man entered the back door of the store before taking money from the safe.

The raider is described as being around 6ft tall and wearing a black woolly hat, with a dark scarf and dark jacket.

The victim has been extremely brave and is thankfully now recovering from this ordeal. The pictures of her injuries illustrate the violence of the assault she endured and it is hoped that these images will motivate anyone who knows the identity of the man responsible to come forward and assist this investigation."

Two men have so far been arrested and subsequently bailed in connection with the investigation. However police are still trying to identify the man captured by the shop's CCTV footage.
