Stevenage manager Graham Westley is encouraged by his team's last two performances in League One in their fight to stay up, but admits they need to start winning more games, starting against Johnstone's Paints Trophy finalists Peterborough United.

Boro are rock bottom and six points from safety, after suffering back to back defeats at Rotherham United and Leyton Orient.

"I think on the whole in those two games against top six sides we weren't outclassed.

We've shown that we've got a level of performance that's building, that we can expect to take forward into coming games with some improvement, to generate results and the points that we need".

"Its been a challenging season where we've had a lot of players leaving the club, players hanging around here waiting to leave, and that obviously affects the mood, the spirit and the atmosphere within the football club.

We've got a lot of that out of the way, we're starting to knuckle down. We've won two games in four before the other night.

It's two games in five now, but a win on Saturday means that's 50% of the last six games won, and that's a sign that we're going in the right direction".
