There are fears that many of the region's distinct dialects are changing, evolving and - in some counties - disappearing altogether.

Moving house too often and watching films and television programmes from around the world are among the reasons why our many varied accents appear to be dying out.

ITV News Anglia has been out looking for some examples of the accents traditionally found in this region.
