Top 20 UK singles from the day Radio Caroline was born

50 years ago today, a team of DJs on board a boat moored off the coast at Felixstowe changed the radio industry forever.

Radio Caroline began broadcasting at midday on 28 March 1964 bringing competition to the BBC which had until then monopolised the airwaves.

Below is a list of the top 20 UK singles from the day the iconic radio station was born.
