Norwich City defender Steven Whittaker says the Canaries won't be fazed by the task facing them on Saturday evening when they take on Manchester United.
A raucous atmosphere is expected at Old Trafford for the game, which will see United legend Ryan Giggs take his place in the dugout for the first time after David Moyes was sacked earlier this week.
Norwich are themselves in desperate need of a victory, with the gap between them and the bottom three currently standing at just two points.
A spirited performance in defeat against champions elect Liverpool last weekend may have raised morale, but with the teams below them breathing down their neck, results are vital.
A win for Fulham against Hull City on Saturday afternoon would see the Canaries in the relegation zone by the time kick-off comes around in Manchester, but Whittaker wants his teammates to embrace the challenge.

"It might give the place a lift (Giggs' appointment), but we need to concentrate on what we're doing and take that second half performance against Liverpool into this match."
Norwich could welcome back Elliott Bennett for the fixture, after the winger recovered from a knee ligament injury which has kept him out since the opening day of the campaign.
Neil Adams' side will be without experienced defender Joseph Yobo though, who's been ruled out with a calf complaint.
