Police are appealing for witnesses to an attempted abduction of a woman in Milton Keynes.

On Thursday evening (24/4) at 10.30pm the victim, a 19-year-old woman, left the Co-op store in High Street, New Bradwell.

She was approached by a man in a car who offered her a lift as it was raining. She refused and walked away down Bradwell Road. The man has followed in his car and again asked her to get in to the car. The victim refused.

The man drove on into Chipperfield Close where he got out and asked her a third time to get in the car which when she refused he grabbed her by the waist and tried to drag her towards the vehicle.

The victim screamed and struggled and some people came out of the nearby New Inn pub and the man got back into his car and drove left onto the Bradwell Road towards New Bradwell.

Thames valley Police has issued an e-fit of the man they wish to speak to in connection with this incident.

Officers have also issued a description of the vehicle – a dark blue four door car similar to a Ford Mondeo. It had red and white beads with a red Ganesha elephant hanging from the rear view mirror.
