Thousands walk the streets of Norwich for the 6th Pride Procession

For the sixth year, thousands of people have paraded through the streets of Norwich to support gay rights. The Pride Festival is organised by local LGBT and community groups and grows bigger every year.

Renown human rights activist, Peter Tatchell, was among those taking part in the procession that ran from Chapelfield Gardens past City Hall and the Forum.

"This is my 3rd Norwich Pride and I'm here to join with people in the city to celebrate the enormous contribution that lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans gender make. They enrichen the city, make its cultural diversity. Diversity is what makes Norwich such a great city"

– Peter Tatchell, Campaigner
