A former headmaster of a school in Suffolk has admitted sexually assaulting a young girl.
62-year-old Martyn Berry from Stockton on Tees became the interim "Superhead" of Holbrook High School in 2012 after a damning Ofsted inspection placed it in special measures.
He's worked at various schools around the country. He was the head of Brackenhoe Secondary school in Middlesbrough, and was credited with turning around the fortunes of the River Leen school in Nottingham, now Bulwell Academy.
Today at Ipswich Crown Court, Berry pleaded guilty to sexual assault on a 16 year old girl.
He denied four other charges, which will remain on file.
Judge David Goodwin said it was a serious case but described it as at the 'more mild end of the scale."
Mr Berry was sentenced to 22 weeks in jail, suspended for two years.
