A Suffolk farmer is producing a charity calendar charting the exploits of his beloved Rialto Reliant van.

Robert Wrench was given the yellow three-wheeler as a surprise 50th birthday present.

Family and friends clubbed together to buy him the van, which he has affectionately called Madge. They delivered it to him dressed as Batman and Robin.

Robert is now putting together a calendar for 2016 showing how Madge has been helping around his farm - whether it's flying around the fields or pulling combines and grain trailers. He’s calling it “The Adventures of Madge”.

Proceeds will go to the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, a charity that supports farmers who are in financial need.

“Robert has always wanted a yellow three-wheeled van. For his 50th birthday friends and family decided to club together and buy him one. It definitely looks a bit strange when he jumps in Madge to get about on the farm.

“Farmers like a good laugh and everyone think it’s hilarious. We wanted to do something that would make people smile while raising money for a very worthy charity like the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution and Madge has quickly become a very popular sight around here.”
