Hundreds of farmers are diversifying to keep their businesses viable

More than a quarter of farmers are turning to alternative industries in order to supplement agriculture. From bunkhouses to breweries, tents to tourist attractions, farming families are having to be inventive to keep viable.

The Earl of Leicester, himself no stranger to diversification, has hosted a conference at Holkham Hall in Norfolk giving advice to farmers about LEEDA and EU grants that are available for farmers wishing to expand in other directions.
