Suffolk charity, Green Light Trust, is awarded nearly half a million to get more of us into the countryside

The Green Light Trust, based in Lawshall in Suffolk, is celebrating a £440,000 lottery grant to carry on conservation work for another four years.

The grant is from the Reaching Communities Fund for the ‘Confidence Through Conservation’ project which will start in January 2017 and run for 4 years. The ‘Confidence Through Conservation’ project is aimed at young people and adults who are dealing with a range of challenging issues and circumstances, who need help and support to cope and recover.

"That grant will enable us to work with people across the whole of Suffolk, from our communities of interest. But more importantly what it will enable us to do at this site in Ipswich is establish a base where we can put a temporary building on site to enable the individuals we work with to access it"
